Gain Experience in Academia & Obtain a Teaching Certificate
The Teaching and Learning Curriculum (TLC) Program is designed for PGY1 and PGY2 pharmacy residents in Northeast Ohio. Based on your teaching experience and your interest in a career in academia, you may choose from one of two tracks to meet your career goals.
Why a teaching certificate?
To provide PGY-1 and PGY-2 pharmacy residents with opportunities to:
-
- increase knowledge about teaching and learning, assessment, and academia.
- exercise teaching skills in the classroom and experiential setting.
- develop a philosophy of teaching.
- prepare a teaching portfolio.
Track 1
Introduction to Teaching & Learning
Designed for residents with little to no teaching experience and an interest in gaining foundational knowledge and skills in teaching and learning.
Track 2
Exploring a Career in Academic Pharmacy
Designed for residents with some teaching experience and an interest in exploring an academic career path.
