Campus Visits Resume
We are excited to announce plans for the safe resumption of campus tours beginning the week of March 22nd. As the COVID pandemic continues, we will have several safeguards in place for our guests, students, and staff.

Please be aware that there will be strict guidelines limiting small group prospective student campus visits to remain under 10 people at one time. This number will need to account for NEOMED staff and NEOMED students assisting. Face masks must be worn on campus at all times and social distancing of 6 feet maintained during tours and presentations. These guidelines will necessitate a limit of one prospective student and one family member for each visit. All visits require pre-registration. Sorry – no drop ins.
NEOMED Covid-19 Safety Protocols and Campus Safety Expectations
Upon arrival, we will require our guests to attest that they will agree to the following NEOMED Covid-19 Safety Protocols and Campus Safety Expectations statement:
In order to minimize the risks associated with the spread of the novel coronavirus infection, COVID-19, Northeast Ohio Medical University (NEOMED) is imposing the following safety expectations upon all students, employees, and guests on the NEOMED campus. We appreciate your adherence to these expectations in order the keep the NEOMED campus a safe place to live, learn, work and conduct business.
Student, employees, and guests to the NEOMED campus should refrain from coming to campus if they have any of the following:
- Fever of 100.4 F (38 C) or above, or possible fever symptoms like alternating chills and sweating
- Trouble breathing, shortness of breath or severe wheezing
- Muscle aches
- Sore throat
- Loss of smell or taste, or a change in taste
- Nausea, vomiting or diarrhea
- Headache unrelated to a previously diagnosed condition
Ohio Department of Health Travel Advisory
NEOMED may not host guests travelling from any state currently listed in the ODH travel advisory as reporting over 15% or higher positive test rates for COVID-19. If you are travelling from one of the states noted in the advisory we look forward to hosting you at another time.
While on the NEOMED campus, student, employees, and all guests must practice physical distancing by ensuring a 6 foot distance between people at all times, which includes following all directional signs and leaving all chairs and furniture in place to abide with physical distancing.

From the Ohio Turnpike
Take the Ohio Turnpike to Exit/Milepost 193. Follow St. Rt. 44 South past Ravenna and into Rootstown. NEOMED is on the right.
From the South Taking 1-77
Take I-77 north to I-76 east. Follow I-76 through Akron to exit 38A. Turn right o the exit onto St. Rt. 44 south. NEOMED is on the right.
From Cental/Southwest Ohio Taking I-71
Take I-71 north to I-76 east. Follow I-76 through Akron to exit 38A. Turn right o the exit onto St. Rt. 44 south. NEOMED is on the right.
From the North Taking I-480
Take I-480 east and continue on St. Rt. 14 through Streetsboro. Take St. Rt. 44 south past Ravenna and into Rootstown. NEOMED is on the right.
From the East Taking I-76
Take I-76 west to exit 38. Turn left of the exit onto St. Rt. 44 south. NEOMED is on the right.
