Doctor of Medicine (M.D.)

College of Medicine Departments

This department provides education in basic medical sciences to professional and graduate students. Its students and faculty advance scientific knowledge and medical discovery through exploratory research, serving the state of Ohio and the scientific community.

Biomedical Sciences

The Department of Emergency Medicine is part of the Division of Clinical Sciences. Students learn the essentials of the field in this hands-on, in-depth program.

Emergency Medicine

This department promotes the health of individuals, families and communities by expanding education and research on the subject.

Family & Community Medicine

Internal medicine students study and research cardiology, dermatology, gastroenterology, general medicine, infectious diseases and pulmonary and critical care.

Internal Medicine

The department actively engages practicing healthcare professionals from affiliated hospitals throughout Northeast Ohio. These dedicated volunteers generously donate their time to mentor and train NEOMED students.

Obstetrics & Gynecology

Pathology is a bridge between the structural and laboratory sciences and clinical medicine. During the first two years of this program, students learn the morphology and pathophysiology of disease processes that they will encounter the rest of their professional careers. During the clinical years, this program provides the basis for clinical decision-making and patient care.

This department aims to provide students a thorough education in all aspects of surgery, to facilitate the education of residents and physicians, to promote the growth and development of teaching faculty, and to promote collaborative research within the NEOMED collective.
