Which Path To Becoming A Physician Is Right For You?
We offer four pathways for those who want to become a physician.
The Early Assurance Program
If you are interested in:
- Reserving your seat in medical school as a college sophomore
- Attending Baldwin-Wallace, Hiram College, Kent State University or The University of Akron as an undergraduate student
- Attending Cleveland State University through the CSU-NEOMED Partnership for Urban Health as an undergraduate student
- Attending Youngstown State University as an undergraduate student in the YSU Bacc./Med program
The Post-Baccalaureate Early Assurance Program
If you are interested in:
- Building upon your existing bachelor’s degree as a college graduate by strengthening your academic preparation to succeed in medical school
- Entering medical school and becoming a doctor as a second career from the medical field
- Practicing as a community-based doctor in an urban setting in a primary care field such as family medicine
- Participating in distinctive hands-on, co-curricular service and shadowing opportunities and pre-medicine courses at Cleveland State University exclusively for CSU-NEOMED Partnership for Urban Health students
The Traditional Admission Process
If you are interested in:
- Applying to medical school after obtaining your undergraduate or graduate degree
- Applying to medical school in your last year prior to completing you bachelor’s degree
Transfer to NEOMED
If you are interested in:
- Advancing community health in Northeast Ohio and beyond,
- AND are entering either your second year or third year of medical school.
