Enrollment Verifications

Requests for verification of enrollment can be made by mail, fax, email or in person; all requests must be written. There is no cost to the student for this service.

Time to Fulfill Requests

Most requests are fulfilled within 3-5 business days. Please note that during peak processing seasons (such as those around the end of the academic term, or approaching standard deadlines for fellowship/residency/etc application cycles), volume increases significantly and requests may take slightly longer to fulfill.

You can help expedite fulfillment of your requests by providing all information needed clearly on submission, and submitting your request with as much advanced notice as possible.

Why might an enrollment verification be needed?

Requests for enrollment verification are typically for the following reasons (but not limited to):

  • Deferment from undergraduate school loans
  • Scholarship application
  • Health insurance
  • Auto insurance “Good Student” discounts
  • Military or veteran requirements
  • Purchasing property or automobiles
  • Elective applications
  • Jury duty
  • Research opportunities

How to Request a Verification

Requests should be made by using the Student Records Request Form* and email completed form to All other requests should contain the following information:

  • Name of student
  • Student ID number (if known)
  • Anticipated year of graduation
  • To whom the letter should be addressed, street address, fax and phone number
  • Specific information to be included in the letter (for example, enrollment status, academic standing, enrollment dates, etc.)

We are able to include information such as full-time enrollment status, academic standing, and enrollment dates.  Please note that the Office of Enrollment Services is unable to provide verification of the criminal background check that was processed on students at matriculation or prior to clinical years. If a student is required to provide proof or a copy of his or her most recent CBC report access is available online for six months after completion. After six months, students can access a copy for an infinite amount of time through the Certiphi Applicant Services team. Certiphi will release a copy via fax or first-class mail upon a student’s request by calling Applicant Services at 800.260.1680, Monday-Friday, 8 a.m.-7 p.m. EST.
