Complaint resolution process
In accordance with U.S. Department of Education regulations (34 CFR 668.43(b)), NEOMED has established procedures for handling complaints from both prospective and enrolled students.
How to proceed
- Explore available complaint resolution processes below.
- Access relevant policies, documentation, forms, and contacts.
- Start with NEOMED: Students should first attempt to resolve complaints within the university before seeking external resolution.
- Informal first: Whenever possible, address concerns informally before pursuing formal resolution processes.

Students have several support options for informal resolution and assistance with academic complaints, including help from the:
- Dean of Students, Academic Affairs & Student Services: Send an email

University complaints
- Students experiencing harassment and unlawful treatment should reference policy 3349-07-10: Affirmative Action, Equal Employment Opportunity and Non-Discrimination/Harassment
- Students experiencing sexual harassment and unlawful treatment should reference policy 3349-10-75: Sexual Harassment Under Title IX
- Students subjected to hazing: Learn about NEOMED’s policies and procedures for hazing. Report a suspected incident of hazing.
- Students experiencing inappropriate behavior, including bias-related incidents, should use the Learning Environment Concern Form to file report.
- NEOMED students with general concerns should use the Concern Form.
Most student forms can be easily accessed on the Student Services’ forms page. In addition, you may share your concerns with the student support officers at NEOMED at any time for advocacy and assistance.

- If a complaint is not resolved within NEOMED, the student should contact the Ohio Department of Higher Education
