Prospective Students

What do our Learning Center staff members provide to students?

  • Specific, evidence-based advice to develop their study plan;
  • Assistance with adjusting to the academic rigor of professional school;
  • Arrangement of tutoring support services in large and small group environments;
  • Coordination of accommodation requests for students with documented disabilities;
  • Access to Second Language Learner (SLL) support services facilitated by highly qualified specialists;
  • Facilitation of lectures, student panels and workshops pertaining to study skill development and licensure board exam preparation;
  • A robust Canvas site that provides students with the ability to access learning support resources and sign-up for tutoring sessions.
    • Canvas is our learning management software that provides all NEOMED students with online materials for curricular and extracurricular responsibilities.

LOCATION & APPOINTMENT SCHEDULING

To learn more about our Learning Center resources or to schedule an appointment prior to your enrollment at NEOMED, please visit our Meet the Staff page to email us directly or stop by our offices in A-200 during regular business hours. The A-200 office suite is located in the Library, next to the Writing Center.

Learning support resources are available on our Canvas site and are only available to admitted or currently enrolled students. Incoming students will receive additional details regarding our resources during their respective orientation sessions, and within their NavigateNEOMED (online orientation) course.
