prematriculation program

Anticipating your first year as a medicine or pharmacy student at NEOMED might seem intimidating. You may be asking yourself if you’re prepared for the volume of course work ahead, or even feeling unsure about how you will adjust to life as a NEOMED student. The best way to eliminate these anxieties is by taking a proactive approach.

If you are interested in getting a head start on the upcoming academic year and learning more about strategies for academic success, the Prematriculation Program is a great tool for you. This online program is specifically designed to assist incoming medicine or pharmacy students in preparing for their first year at NEOMED.

This user-friendly program allows you to practice learning techniques and review foundational science course concepts that are essential for the volume and rigor of the curriculum in your respective college. This program offers modules that provide students with science content, as well as examples of study tools created by current students.

Program Modules

  • LASSI (Learning and Study Strategies Inventory) assessment and explanations
  • learning strategies
  • PubMed training
  • cell biology
  • histology
  • anatomy
  • mindfulness

In addition to these features, you will also have the opportunity to take a pre- and post-test on the program material. The interactive component of the program allows you to view videos of the support offices on campus and obtain advice from current NEOMED students.
