Expand Your Medical Education

Education is of the highest priority in the Department of Family and Community Medicine, from our predoctoral and partner residency programs, to faculty development and continuing medical education.

SOAR Student-Run Free Clinic

SOAR Student-Run Free Clinic is run by medical and pharmacy students of NEOMED who are dedicated to providing high quality, non-emergent, no-cost health care to the medically underserved residents of Northeast Ohio. The SOAR clinic offers primary care, chronic disease management, basic labs, prescription for medications, and medication therapy management. To volunteer, inquire through the Outreach Student Interest Group.

Accelerated Family Medicine Track

An accelerated curriculum for selected students who wish to complete their medical school requirements in three calendar years and enter a family medicine residency at a NEOMED affiliated hospital following graduation from medical school.

Rural Medical Education Pathway

A unique set of learning experiences which provides the tools necessary to become a rural primary care physician. The goal is for students to become scholars in rural medicine, provide service to rural communities, and champion rural healthcare systems.

NEOMED-CSU Urban Pathway

NEOMED and Cleveland State University have partnered to offer two exciting paths to medical education. Collaborating on their strengths in urban health, primary care medicine and inter-professional education CSU and NEOMED strive to meet the changing health care needs within urban communities. The goal of this unique partnership is to recruit a diverse group of future physicians with an expressed interest in serving Northeast Ohio.
