Education is of the highest priority in the Department of Family and Community Medicine, from our predoctoral and partner residency programs, to faculty development and continuing medical education.
NEOMED Free Clinic
The NEOMED Free Clinic is run by medical and pharmacy students of NEOMED who are dedicated to providing high quality, non-emergent, no-cost healthcare to the medically underserved residents of Northeast Ohio. The clinic offers primary care, chronic disease management, basic labs, prescription for medications and medication therapy management. How to volunteer.
Accelerated Family Medicine Track
An accelerated curriculum for selected students who wish to complete their medical school requirements in three calendar years and enter a family medicine residency at a NEOMED affiliated hospital following graduation from medical school.
Residency
Several residency opportunities in family and community medicine are available.
Master of Public Health
Learn about population/community health promotion and disease prevention through courses such as epidemiology, biostatistics, social and behavior sciences, health services administration and environmental health sciences.
Medical Ethics and Humanities – Master of Arts & Certificate
Provides the opportunity for students and healthcare professionals to examine how health system stakeholders shape and are shaped by the meaning and value of health, disease, illness and disability.
Healer’s Art
A personal in-depth exploration of the time honored values of service, healing relationship, reverence for life and compassionate care. Strengthens altruistic values, sense of calling, and intention to serve.
