Financial wellness and counseling
NEOMED takes seriously the importance of educating prospective students about the financial demands of a health professions and graduate education. Therefore, we provide financial literacy and education debt management counseling for prospective and current students from pre-admission to graduation and beyond.
Before matriculation
During the application and interview process, the Office of Financial Aid is available to discuss the financial demands of dental, graduate studies, medical or pharmacy education. We offer guidance on preparing for an educational investment through a brief presentation during on campus interview days; this presentation is available on demand when interviewing virtually or by scheduling an appointment during the admission process.
After matriculation
Students can meet with the NEOMED Financial Aid team for individual counseling appointments at any stage of their educational career. These sessions are personalized to each student’s unique financial situation.
Optional and required programming is provided throughout all years a student is enrolled, delivered through presentations (in person and virtual) and webinars. A sample list of topics appear below.
Post-enrollment years
We know that life events happen, and a borrower’s planned student loan repayment strategy may need to change. Because of this, members of NEOMED’s Office of Financial Aid remain available to work with our alumni to best aid in reevaluating their repayment strategy free of charge. Our philosophy, once a walking whale, always a walking whale.
