NEOMED Alumnus Elected as 73rd President of Ohio Academy of Family Physicians

The Ohio Academy of Family Physicians (OAFP) has welcomed a Northeast Ohio Medical University alumnus as its new president.
Michael (Mike) Sevilla, M.D. (’98), an associate professor of family and community medicine, was sworn in Sunday, August 9, as OAFP’s 73rd president.
Dr. Sevilla’s inauguration speech covered the topics of empowerment, advocacy, how to “Be the Change,” and more.
He concluded his address with by challenging his fellow family physicians: “Tell your story to me, your community and anyone who will listen.”
