NEOMED Alumna Named Division Head at University Hospitals

Princess Ogbogu, M.D., (‘00), has been named chief of the Division of Allergy, Immunology, and Rheumatology at University Hospitals Rainbow Babies & Children’s Hospital (UH Rainbow) in Cleveland as of August 1.

Most recently, the NEOMED alumna has been the director of the Division of Allergy and Immunology and an associate professor of medicine at The Ohio State University, where she has served since 2008.

Active as a researcher, Dr. Ogbou also serves on the American Board of Allergy and Immunology Board of Directors.

“The field of allergy/immunology is unique in encompassing environmental and food allergies, chronic conditions and the complexity of the human immune system,” Dan Simon, M.D., chief clinical/scientific officer and president of UH Cleveland Medical Center, said in a statement. “We welcome Dr. Ogbogu, her depth of experience as a clinician and researcher, which expands our capabilities in this important specialty.”
