NEOMED Alumnus Pivots to Telemedicine During Pandemic

As many others in the health care field did when the COVID-19 pandemic arose a few short months ago, Northeast Ohio Medical University alumnus Dominic Peters, M.D. (’09), had to shift his patient care as an orthopaedic surgeon at Salem Regional Medical Center in Salem, Ohio, to telemedicine visits.

Dr. Peters told Valley Tough in a recent interview that he has used his extra time at home during COVID-19 to reset and recharge with old hobbies, like playing guitar, Frisbee golf, fishing and mountain biking.

“As we start to ramp back up and safely resume caring for patients, I can see that the demand for orthopaedic services remains very strong and will only increase. I am looking forward to helping my patients regain their quality of life and getting back to their new normal,” shared Dr. Peters.
