Daniel Krinsky, R.Ph. and a group of pharmacy students

Sorting out Prescription Drug Safety: Daniel Krinsky

Why does it matter whether my pharmacist knows all of the medications I’m taking? And why is it important how people dispose of old or unused prescription drugs?

Those are just a couple of questions that Daniel Krinsky, R.Ph., professor of pharmacy practice and a consultant to the FDA’s Drug Safety and Risk Management Advisory Committee, fielded in a recent “Ask the Expert” Facebook Live segment with medical reporter Betty Lin-Fisher of the Akron Beacon Journal.

And there’s more to come from Krinsky and his colleague, Jaclyn Boyle, Pharm.D., who both serve as faculty advisors for NEOMED’s student-run Script Your Future campaign.

NEOMED will host a session at which attendees can discuss medications, adherence and heart health with pharmacists such as Krinsky and Dr. Boyle, as well as College of Pharmacy students.
