Providing Emergency Care on Another Continent

A career in emergency medicine has taken Elizabeth DeVos, M.D. (’03), M.P.H., around the world. As the director of global health education programs for the University of Florida College of Medicine, where she is an associate professor, she now oversees students in their trips abroad.

Dr. DeVos told the Florida Times-Union that her travel studies while earning a Master of Public Health degree from George Washington University sparked a lasting interest in emergency medicine programs in Africa.
