Online COVID-19 Pop-Up Sessions for Health Care Workers

To support and educate medical professionals during the COVID-19 pandemic, Northeast Ohio Medical University will host two online pop-up sessions – COVID-19 Medical Community Information Project ECHO on March 27 and Project ECHO: Coping with COVID-19 for health care workers on April 1. Both sessions will occur from noon to 1:30 p.m.

NEOMED will host the sessions using its Project ECHO (Extensions for Community Health Outcomes) platform. Project ECHO uses video technology to connect clinicians and health professionals with teams of multidisciplinary and interprofessional experts from NEOMED and partner institutions. Since starting with Project ECHO in 2017, NEOMED has become the first ECHO Superhub in Ohio, and one of only 15 20 worldwide.

Experts will include an infectious disease physician, infectious disease pharmacist, geriatrician, virologist, critical care physician, psychologist, epidemiology coordinator, and two residents of Wuhan, China, who witnessed firsthand the early impact of the COVID-19 pandemic.

The events are free and open to all medical professionals. The number of participants is limited.
