Ohio National Guard to Provide Free COVID-19 Testing at NEOMED

Drive-up, no-cost COVID-19 tests will be available at Northeast Ohio Medical University for three days this month: Tuesday, July 21, from 9 a.m. – 3 p.m.; Thursday, July 23, from 1 – 6 p.m.; and Saturday, July 25, from 9 a.m. – 3 p.m.

The free tests will be provided on the NEOMED campus, in partnership with Portage County Health District and Portage County Office of Homeland Security & Emergency Management.

No appointment is needed and no health care provider referral is required. Individuals of any age may be tested, but those under 18 will need the signed consent of a parent or guardian. Lab forms will need to be completed. Those being tested will need proper ID, a pen and something to write on.

Wait times will vary depending on the number of cars (and individuals within them) in the test station lines. Those waiting are asked to  be patient and prepared for the possibility of  a longer waiting period.

There will be enough supplies to test up to 1,000 individuals each day.
