Congratulations to rising third-year medical student Jason Collins, who was elected to the National Resident Matching Program (NRMP) Board of Directors. Collins will serve a two-year term beginning July 1, 2026.
The NRMP Board of Directors is composed of 20 members, including program directors, medical school deans, designated institutional officials, resident and fellow physicians, medical students and non-physician members.
“As one of two M.D. students on the National Resident Matching Program’s Board of Directors, I look forward to advocating for both my peers at NEOMED and medical students across the country and around the world as the Board addresses matters related to the residency Match and the transition from undergraduate to graduate medical education,” shared Collins.
“I’m grateful to Dr. Corrie Stofcho for suggesting I pursue this position and for her nomination, along with the nominations of Dr. Amy Wilson-Delfosse and Dr. Leah Sheridan,” he added.
The NRMP, also known as The Match, is an independent, nonprofit organization that places the nation’s medical school talent into clinical training programs, ensuring a steady pipeline of highly qualified professionals are building the necessary skills to care for patients across the country.
Collins is currently in Cincinnati, Ohio, as one of 27 third-year medical students who make up the inaugural class of NEOMED’s partnership with The Christ Hospital Health Network (CHHN).
