It’s great to see University Hospitals in Cleveland, one of NEOMED’s clinical partners, recognized by the global organization Ethisphere for “exceptional leadership and a commitment to business integrity through best-in-class ethics, compliance, and governance practices.” This is the 10th time that UH has been honored. This year, UH is one of just seven international honorees in Ethisphere’s health care provider category.
UH CEO Cliff Megerian, M.D., who has appeared on NEOMED’s VITALS thought leader speaker series, accepted the honor by noting in a statement that “‘integrity’ means we have a shared commitment to do what is right and adhere to the highest standards of ethics and personal responsibility to earn the trust of our caregivers and community.”
NEOMED not only values ethics in health care organizations, health care delivery and medical research. The University also offers master’s and graduate certificate programs in medical ethics and humanities that train busy medical professionals and students to evaluate ethical problems with logic, facts and values to determine the best course of action for patient, provider and organization.
