NEOMED Health Care Expands to Increase Access by Rural Residents

NEOMED Health Care recently expanded to accept primary care patients from the surrounding community. One reason for the shift was to increase access to health services to residents of the area, which is rural.

John Boltri, M.D., lead physician at NEOMED Health Care and chair of the Department of Family and Community Medicine, discussed the change in a recent interview with Ideastream.

“There’s a lot of people that live in and around NEOMED that have to travel far distances for care, and a lot of people like just being able to drive up [State Route] 44 to NEOMED and get their health care taken care of here,” said Dr. Boltri.
