NEOMED Big Idea Campaign – Students Drive the Mission!

Sometimes all you need is one idea to make a big difference for the people around you. This spirit is what the student-led team behind NEOMED’s Big Idea Campaign brought to campus this spring.

Created by students Arjun Pandya (M4), Shareena Shaik (M3), Warren Lee (M2), Emily Marsico (M2) and Paris Bell (P2), the campaign was launched in April 2022 with the goal of funding five student ideas dedicated to improving the University. Unlike traditional crowdsourcing where ideas are funded by financial contributions, the ideas submitted through the Big Idea Campaign will be crowd-endorsed by a student vote this fall.

Through a successful strategic initiative funding proposal, the team secured the necessary financial support to provide each winning idea with a $1,000 award. The monetary support for the campaign will allow each team to turn their idea into reality, improving the student experience on campus.
