Mike Appleman to be recognized among ’30 for the Future’

Michael Appleman, M.A.Ed., has been named one of the 30 for the Future by the Greater Akron Chamber.

Appleman is director of primary care education and co-director of pathway programs in the Department of Family and Community Medicine. He and his fellow awardees will be recognized at an event on September 14.

Each year, the chamber recognizes professionals between the ages of 25-39 who showcase dynamic leadership, diversity and commitment to the region.

Selection criteria include honorees’ professional accomplishments, leadership and community service. According to a press release, an independent selection committee of the Greater Akron Chamber selected the 30 finalists from a competitive pool of more than 125 nominees.
