Dear NEOMED Community:
I am pleased to announce the appointment of Kunal Amin, Pharm.D., as the chief operating officer of NEOMED Clinical Services, LLC, dba NEOMED Health Care beginning Aug. 15.
Dr. Amin will continue as president of NEOvations Pharmacy Services, as well as his non-tenure track appointment with the College of Pharmacy as an assistant professor.
In his role as the first chief operating officer of NEOMED Health Care, Dr. Amin assumes a position necessitated by the tremendous growth of NEOMED’s first owned-and-operated primary care practice.
Under the medical direction of John Boltri, M.D., FAAFP, chair, Department of Family and Community Medicine, NEOMED Health Care first opened as a student health center in 2020. NEOMED Health Care then launched the primary care section of a new Integrated Primary and Mental Health Care (IPMHC) Center in 2021, a Substance Use Disorder Treatment Center in 2022 and the mental health section of its IPMCH Center in 2023.
Dr. Boltri’s dedication and hard work have been extraordinary. While he will now be able to focus on his many other roles in Family and Community Medicine, he will continue serving as medical director, providing leadership for physicians at NEOMED Health Care. I thank him for his many contributions.
As chief operating officer, Dr. Amin will provide leadership for the entire operation including staff, day-to-day, budget and strategic planning. His successful leadership, operational excellence and innovative ideas at NEOvations Pharmacy Services have led to several value-added benefits for patients, clients and NEOMED. Such experience makes him well-suited to lead continued growth at both NEOMED Health Care and NEOvations Pharmacy Services. Dr. Amin’s dual-leadership role may also allow the seamless transition of some services, e.g., Coumadin checks.
Dr. Amin received his Doctor of Pharmacy from the University of Toledo in 2009.
Please join me in congratulating him on his new role.
Sincerely,
John T. Langell President
