Get to Know Dr. Acton

Amy Stearns Acton, M.D. (’90), is more than a physician. She is a Northeast Ohio Medical University alumna, director of health for the Ohio Department of Health, mother and leader – and as COVID-19 has developed into a pandemic, an internet sensation.

Governor Mike DeWine said recently, “She’s been the face of public health as we go through this crisis.”
