Free Child Care Available during COVID-19 Vaccine Appointments

A barrier to getting COVID-19 vaccinations has been broken down, says an article in Verywell Health.

The Biden Administration has set a goal of getting at least 70% of Americans vaccinated with at least one dose of vaccine by July 4. To help achieve that, a variety of services and organizations, such as YMCAs, are offering free child care while people get their vaccinations.

Some free transportation is also available through Uber and Lyft. 

Richard Watkins, M.D., an infectious disease physician and professor of internal medicine at Northeast Ohio Medical University, told Verywell Health, “Anything that can make it more convenient for people to get vaccinated should be strongly encouraged.”
