Experts Propose Contrasting Models for COVID-19

As COVID-19 continues to spread, experts keep working to project models of when it will peak at locations around the country. Cleveland.com recently reported on a model from the University of Washington’s Institute for Health Metrics and Evaluation that differed significantly from other projections for the state of Ohio.

Why?

Small changes in underlying assumptions can make a big difference in projections, said Angelo DeLucia, Ph.D., an associate professor of molecular virology and cancer biology at Northeast Ohio Medical University.
