CJCCoE Recognized by International Publication

Northeast Ohio Medical University’s Criminal Justice Coordinating Center of Excellence (CJ CCoE) was recently featured in the August 2019 edition of Crisis Intervention Team Programs: A Best Practice Guide for Transforming Community Responses to Mental Health Crises.

The CJ CCoE, housed in NEOMED’s Department of Psychiatry, works to promote jail diversion alternatives for people with mental illness throughout Ohio. The Center, led by director Ruth Simera, is funded by a grant from the Ohio Department of Mental Health and Addiction Services to the County of Summit Alcohol, Drug Addiction and Mental Health Services Board.
