CCG Automation Inc., Pledges $25,000 for NEOMED Foundation Annual Match Day

CCG Automation Inc., located in Richfield, is supporting Northeast Ohio Medical University ahead of its annual Giving Day, scheduled to begin at noon, June 23, and continue through noon, June 24. CCG Automation will match all new and increased gifts to the NEOMED Foundation’s Blue Fund up to $25,000.

In response to the COVID-19 crisis, the Blue Fund aims to raise $100,000 for community relief. The amount is in addition to the Blue Fund’s annual campaign of $400,000, which goes toward student scholarships and academic programs. The $500,000 total is the fund’s largest annual campaign goal ever.

“I’ve heard story after story of alumni, students and other members of the NEOMED community helping lead the way since the start of the pandemic,” said Brian Wagner, president of CCG Automation, Inc. “NEOMED is deeply intertwined with the health of our communities, and we are proud to help bolster the University by encouraging others to give to this vital cause.”

The additional $100,000 goal will be used for four specific needs in response to the COVID-19 crisis:

    • Free meals for local families
    • New personal protective equipment (PPE) for students, faculty and staff who donated all of their supplies to local hospitals
    • Expanded mental health services for NEOMED students
    • Funds to support students with financial emergencies

CCG Automation joins Huntington Bank, which had previously agreed to continue its matching tradition by committing to match the first $35,000 of new and increased gifts to the Blue Fund.

NEOMED’s Giving Day is an annual event that encourages donations for a 24-hour period, typically with the benefit of a match for donations during that timeframe. To learn more, visit neomed.edu/givingday.
