Julia Colecchi, Marketing and Communications, was recognized for her willingness to help with photography. “Julia is always happy to help when asked to take pictures for campus events, and she is really really good at it!!! Thank you for always helping out with a smile!!!!”
Kathleen Enoch, Office Research and Sponsored Programs, was recognized for her creativity. “Kathleen is a rockstar for creating the intent to submit form. A useful tool for the entire University. Thanks, Kathleen.” Another nominator noted, “Kathleen has been working to streamline our proposal intake process by creating an electronic intent to submit form and has also developed a proposal intake document which will be beneficial in particular to faculty and staff newer to the proposal development process but will also better assist veteran investigators in preparing high quality proposals.”
Patrick Grealis, Information Technology, was recognized for going above and beyond. “Just a shout-out to Patrick for going above and beyond to help out with the Employee Recognition set up and tear down! Your help was GREATELY appreciated!!!”
Rebecca Hayes, Office Research and Sponsored Programs, was recognized for her many contributions to NEOMED. “Becky is a key asset to ORSP. She has provided great contributions to NEOMED. Good luck in retirement.”
Tamara Miller, Office Research and Sponsored Programs, was recognized for her support and knowledge. “Tammy has been a key support in ORSP for managing subaward and consulting agreements. Her focused knowledge in this area is appreciated.”
Chris Paxos, Pharm.D., Department of Pharmacy Practice, was recognized for his teaching skill. “He is a professor who makes every student look forward arriving to in-person lectures, even if they are optional to attend. You will always see him greeting you with kindness and making sharp and clever jokes that will leave a smile on your face. He truly connects with every student on an individual level by recalling their stories when he comes to hand out treats during lecture breaks. Dr. Paxos has a wealth of knowledge in the pharmacy practice, as he was the psychiatry pharmacist at Akron General for 10 years. He is always willing to sit down with students to help understand and explain topics after exams. He employs a variety of study techniques to teach everyone, so people with different learning styles can easily recall and analyze lecture content! Not only that, but he goes through the effort to make his own extra practice questions for classes so students can improve outside of the materials provided in the textbooks and lectures. Outside of the classes, Dr. Paxos wants to see his students succeed in their careers post-graduation. He gives valuable advice to students about tailored steps and paths they should take to achieve their goals. You will quickly realize that he instantaneously understands your strengths, so he will strive to improve your areas of weakness through specific meaningful recommendations. All in all, Dr. Chris Paxos is an incredible professor who makes NEOMED pharmacy students the future leaders of pharmacy practice.
