Sergeant Shawn Parker

NEOMED Police Officers Serve on Portage County’s First Honor Guard

From funerals to Memorial Day celebrations, the first official Portage County Honor Guard works to represent police officers across the county.

Northeast Ohio Medical University Police Department representatives Sergeant Shawn Parker (pictured above) and Officer Terri Moncoveish are two of twelve volunteers who will have a presence at Portage County parades and officer funerals.

In March, Sergeant Parker attended an Honor Guard Clinic sponsored by U.S. Customs and Border Protection with representatives from the Kent and Streetsboro Police Departments.
