NEOMED Police Sergeant Attends Clinic Sponsored by U.S. Customs and Border Protection

March 22, 2019

Northeast Ohio Medical University Police Department Sergeant Shawn Parker recently had the opportunity to attend an Honor Guard Clinic sponsored by U.S. Customs and Border Protection.

Sergeant Parker (pictured at right) attended the Clinic, held March 6-8, with representatives from the Kent and Streetsboro Police Departments.

This is one of the best honor guard programs in the country, explained Sergeant Parker. “They spend countless weeks annually practicing and represent their agency in parades, sporting events, conventions, special events, and of course retired/line of duty funerals. To be able to learn from their officers (who flew in from around the country to share their knowledge) is really a great opportunity.”
