Tuition & Fees

Tuition and fees are established yearly at the spring Board of Trustees meeting. Charges are issued by the Accounting and Budget Department. All students will be notified of charges and payment methods before the start of each term. NEOMED has established flat-rate billing for the College of Medicine and Pharmacy, and charges by either flat rate or credit hour for the College of Graduate Studies.

• 2024-25 Detailed Fee Assessment

Students are eligible for financial aid funding to cover tuition and fees, as well as other expenses directly needed to be successful in the curriculum. Students can review the detailed Cost of Attendance by visiting the Office of Financial Aid’s website to understand what financial aid is eligible to cover.

Students admitted as a non-Ohio resident will be assessed a non-resident surcharge and are eligible to apply for reclassification as a state resident for tuition purposes. The student must provide documentation of residency in the state of Ohio for one calendar year as well as financial independence from all outside state sources in addition to other documentation. More information on the Ohio residency reclassification can be found on the University’s Registrar website.

Tuition/Financial Aid Recalculation Schedule

When a student declares a leave of absence or withdrawals from classes during the academic year a portion of the tuition charged to them may be eligible for a refund. In addition, all financial aid disbursed is subject to be returned based on the date of last attendance. All fees are non-refundable after the first day of classes. Veterans Benefits and Transition Act of 2018

In accordance to the Veterans Benefits and Transition Act of 2018, NEOMED will refrain from issuing any late fee penalties, an accounting hold placed on their account or registration of students if there is a delay in the disbursement of GI Bill ® benefits. In addition, NEOMED will not require students to access Title IV federal financial aid funds (i.e. Federal Direct Unsubsidized and Grad PLUS Loans) to cover their balance while waiting for the disbursement of GI Bill ® benefits. Students will have the option to borrow Title IV loans if they so desire and have the flexibility of returning them once their GI Bill ® benefits disburse.

If a student’s GI Bill ® benefits do not cover the full mandatory fee’s assessed or cannot cover options fees assessed, the student is liable to pay the remaining balance in accordance to NEOMED’s payment policy.  In cases when fees not covered by GI Bill ® benefits are not paid in a timely manner, the student is liable for late fee penalties, as well as an Accounting hold and deregistration.
