Upcoming Webinar to Examine the Impact of COVID-19 on Children and Families

Join Northeast Ohio Medical University’s Project ECHO® for “Coping with COVID During and After: Health Impacts on Children and Families,” Wednesday, June 10, from noon to 1:30 p.m.

The online pop-up session, presented in partnership with Akron Children’s Hospital, will address the mental health impact of the pandemic on children and families — both now during the stay-at-home quarantine phase and later, as people start to emerge, with a focus on “the next pandemic” of mental illness that will follow the COVID-19 pandemic.

The panel of experts will include a professional clinical counselor, mental health pharmacist, director of pediatric psychiatry and psychology, a psychiatrist and nephrologist.

Project ECHO uses video technology to connect clinicians and health professionals with teams of multidisciplinary and interprofessional experts from NEOMED and partner institutions.
