Student Op-Ed: Stop Medicare Privatization

Two College of Medicine students took a stand on Medicare privatization – and they got it published. Wednesday, Feb. 16, Cleveland.com posted an Op-Ed titled “Biden’s Costly Failure to Stop Medicare Privatization Experiment in Ohio” by first-year medicine students Maximilian Brockwell, above right, and James Tyler Moore.

The article discusses a pilot program now being used in 38 states (including Ohio), in which private companies act “as middlemen between the Medicare program [of the federal government] and health care providers.”
