Should We Add Face Shields? A COVID-19 Question

Cloth face coverings have become part of life with COVID-19. A Yahoo!Life article asks, should face shields become the new norm?

“The CDC says that it’s unknown whether these shields can offer protection against the spread of COVID-19,” notes the article, in which experts weigh in on the topic.

Richard Watkins, M.D., professor of internal medicine, said, “A face shield with a mask is better than a mask alone for decreasing the risk of COVID-19,” adding, “When I see patients with COVID-19, I always wear eye protection.”
