Summa Health will hold its second annual senior health symposium titled “Prioritizing Mentation and Cognitive Health for Age-Friendly Care” from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., Tuesday, Oct. 15, at the Raymond C. Firestone Auditorium on Summa Health’s Akron campus. A virtual attendance option via WebEx will be offered.
This year’s symposium aims to address key issues in senior healthcare, including cognitive health and mentation, which are crucial elements of age-friendly care. The program is designed for a multidisciplinary audience, including physicians, nurses, social workers, pharmacists, therapists, case workers and administrators. NEOMED faculty, students, residents, fellows and staff can attend at no cost.
The event will feature a keynote address about the impact of public policies on Alzheimer’s care and support.
