Research Day at Children’s Hospital

A day focused on pediatric research spotlighted several scientist-physicians with ties to Northeast Ohio Medical University.

Bruce Cohen, M.D., a professor of pediatrics; Kirsten Kusumi, M.D., an assistant professor of pediatrics; Wendy Van Ittersum, M.D., an associate professor of pediatrics; and Richard Hertle, M.D. (‘84), a professor of surgery, presented at the event at Akron (Ohio) Children’s Hospital May 31.

An additional researcher at the May 31 event, Anita Jeyakumar, M.D., an associate professor of surgery, has been collaborating with NEOMED’s Merri Rosen, Ph.D., an assistant professor of anatomy and neurobiology, on pediatric hearing research.
