Protecting Children from the Delta Variant

With the rise of the Delta variant, said by the CDC to now comprise more than 82 percent of COVID-19 cases in the U.S., Yahoo News asked experts how parents can protect their children. (A reminder: the vaccine isn’t yet authorized for use for children under age 12.) 

Richard Watkins, M.D., an infectious disease physician and professor of internal medicine in the College of Medicine at Northeast Ohio Medical University, recommends outdoor play dates, whenever possible. And if children need to enter your home, “they should be wearing a mask,” he told Yahoo.
