Project ECHO at NEOMED Presents “Coping with COVID: What We Know Now”

Northeast Ohio Medical University’s Project ECHO® (Extensions for Community Health Outcomes) team continues to support and educate medical professionals during the COVID-19 pandemic by hosting online pop-up sessions.

Coping with COVID: What We Know Now” is scheduled to be presented Wednesday, Oct. 7, from noon to 1 p.m.

Thomas File, M.D., professor of internal medicine and president of the Infectious Diseases Society of America, and Angelo DeLucia, Ph.D., an associate professor of molecular virology and cancer biology, have been invited to share COVID-19 updates with the medical community and separate fact from fiction.

Topics for discussion will include concern for long-term effects, pathophysiology, clinical manifestations, and the unknown.

The Project ECHO platform

Project ECHO uses video technology to connect clinicians and health professionals with teams of multidisciplinary and interprofessional experts from NEOMED and partner institutions.

Since starting with Project ECHO in 2017, NEOMED has become the first ECHO Superhub in Ohio – one of only 15 worldwide.

The online pop-up sessions are free and open to all medical professionals.
