What is known about COVID-19 in terms of whether people can be re-infected?

Prevention asked experts including Richard Watkins, M.D., an infectious disease physician and professor of internal medicine at Northeast Ohio Medical University.

“Currently, how long someone has immunity to SARS-CoV-2, the virus that causes COVID-19, is ‘not yet understood,’ according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC),” wrote Korin Miller, the article’s author.
