Physician Named Metropolitan Opera Radio Host

Debra Lew Harder, M.D. (’85) has been named as the new host of the Metropolitan Opera radio broadcasts.

The Metropolitan Opera announced the appointment of Dr. Lew Harder, who serves as co-director of Medicine + Music, at Sidney Kimmel Medical College of Thomas Jefferson University as well as a classical music host and producer for Temple University’s WRTI-FM in Philadelphia.

The Northeast Ohio Medical University alumna previously practiced as an emergency room physician. She holds a Ph.D. in music in addition to her medical degree, and has performed as a concert pianist at Wigmore Hall in London and Verizon Hall in Philadelphia.
