NEOMED Student-Run Free Clinic Announces Upcoming Dates

The Student OutReach to Area Residents (SOAR) Student-Run Free Clinic has announced its upcoming dates of operation to provide free health care services for the community.

The clinic will be open 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. on the following Saturdays:

  • Jan. 11, 18 and 25
  • Feb. 1, 8 and 15
  • March 7, 14 and 21
  • April 4, 11 and 18

 

The Student-Run Free Clinic offers free primary care, chronic disease management, regular routine care, physical exams, basic labs and prescriptions for medications. The clinic is located in the NEOMED Education and Wellness (NEW) Center at 4211 St. Rt. 44 in Rootstown. In 2017, the clinic was named Free Clinic of the Year by the Ohio Association of Free Clinics. It has also been recognized as the Best Public Health Initiative by Celebrate Portage! Since its opening, NEOMED medicine and pharmacy student volunteers have provided 11,000 hours of service to address the health needs of the community.
