NEOMED Police Chief Kali Williams recently graduated from the Certified Law Enforcement Executive (CLEE) program.
Chief Williams was one of only 23 law enforcement leaders honored during a graduation ceremony held at the Ohio State Highway Patrol Training Academy in Columbus in January.
A Masterclass in Leadership
The CLEE program is a rigorous, 14-month professional odyssey co-sponsored by the Law Enforcement Foundation and the Ohio Association of Chiefs of Police. To even be considered for the program, participants must meet strict prerequisites regarding experience, formal education and professional service.
Over the past year, Chief Williams completed intensive modules designed to elevate the standards of excellence for police leadership, including:
- Strategic planning and change management
- Ethics and police legitimacy
- Human Resources and team facilitation
- Community relations and organizational risk management
Elevating Campus Safety
Achievement in the CLEE program is not just about attendance; graduates must demonstrate mastery through comprehensive written examinations and research papers. By completing this “gold standard” of training, Chief Williams brings a high level of executive expertise back to our campus, ensuring the NEOMED Police Department remains at the forefront of modern, community-centered policing.
