One Northeast Ohio Medical University alumnus is working to help his patients heal and hear.
Ananth Murthy, M.D. (’99), an associate professor of surgery, was recently featured by Akron Children’s Hospital for his work with a young patient who was born without outer ears. Dr. Murthy used the boy’s own rib cartilage to craft into what now serve as his outer ears.
Dr. Murthy serves as the director of pediatric plastic and reconstructive surgery and medical director for the Craniofacial Center and Speech Resonance Clinic at Akron Children’s Hospital.
