NEOMED Alumnus Appears on CNBC

Rajeev Venkayya, M.D. (’91), a Northeast Ohio Medical University alumnus and former special assistant to the U.S. president for biodefense, recently outlined three steps that policymakers can take to better prepare for the next pandemic.

Dr. Venkayya, who serves as president of the vaccine business unit at Takeda Pharmaceuticals, encourages policymakers and governments to better understand inter-species transmission, improve response strategies and work toward global cooperation.
