National Physicians Organization Names NEOMED Student Member

The American College of Physicians National Council of Student Members recently selected Rachana Raghupathy, a second-year Northeast Ohio Medical University College of Medicine student, to serve a two-year term on the Council.

She will be formally inducted at the 2020 ACP Annual Meeting in Los Angeles, in April.

Raghupathy has also been selected to serve as the Council of Student Members representative to the ACP Physician Well-Being and Professional Fulfillment Committee.

“It’s a very competitive process and only 10 students throughout the whole country comprise the ACP Council of Student Members,” said L. Austin Fredrickson, M.D. (’14), assistant professor, Department of Internal Medicine, who recommended Raghupathy.

Raghupathy is the first NEOMED student to serve on the American College of Physicians National Council of Student Members.
