Michael Forbes, M.D., on the next VITALS

Michael Forbes, M.D., FAAP, FCCM, will share his insights on the next VITALS program at noon Thursday, April 6, in-person in Watanakunakorn Auditorium and via Zoom.

Lunch will be provided for in-person attendees who register in advance.

Dr. Forbes is chief academic officer and William H. and Rebecca D. Considine Endowed Chair for Pediatric Research at Akron Children’s Hospital. A professor of pediatrics at NEOMED, he is also a pediatric intensivist and critical care specialist.

Dr. Forbes has a special interest in child abuse, traumatic brain injury, cardiac/pulmonary failure, health services delivery, biomedical informatics and preventative care. He is certified by the American Board of Pediatrics with a subspecialty certification in pediatric critical care medicine. He is a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics and a member of the Society for Critical Care Medicine and Pediatric Trauma Society. Dr. Forbes earned his medical degree from the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine in Pennsylvania. He completed a residency in pediatrics and a fellowship in pediatric critical care medicine at the UPMC Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh.
