Students learning how to take vitals

Learning the Vitals

There’s a first time for everything, and for first-year College of Medicine and College of Pharmacy students, that includes learning how to take vital signs. They gathered in classrooms recently to learn the ins and outs, with the assistance of NEOMED clinical instructors as well as advanced College of Pharmacy and College of Medicine students.

Alissa Edgein, a nurse practitioner from Akron Children’s Hospital, showed Shadrack Osei Baah (shown at left in photo), a first-year pharmacy student, how to make an adjustment as he monitored Nicholas Srnick, a first-year medicine student.
