Katherine Tromp, Pharm.D., named interim dean of Northeast Ohio Medical University College of Pharmacy
Northeast Ohio Medical University has appointed Katherine Tromp, Pharm.D., as interim dean of the College of Pharmacy, effective June 5, 2023.
Dr. Tromp joined NEOMED in March 2021 as the senior associate dean for the College of Pharmacy. Previously, she served as the associate dean of the Florida Pathway and associate professor for the Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine School of Pharmacy in Bradenton, Florida. Dr. Tromp oversaw the progression of 500 students and supervised 25 faculty members in this role.
Dr. Tromp earned a Bachelor of Science degree from Worcester Polytechnic Institute in Worcester, Massachusetts, where she double majored in biochemistry and scientific, technical and professional communications. She then completed her Doctor of Pharmacy degree at the Massachusetts College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences.
“Dr. Tromp’s leadership and dedication speaks for itself, and we are indeed fortunate to have her on the NEOMED team leading the College of Pharmacy forward,” said C. Forrest Faison III, M.D., FAAP, provost and senior VP for academic affairs at NEOMED.
Dr. Tromp will be taking over the leadership role from Richard Kasmer, Pharm.D., J.D., following his retirement after 17 years at NEOMED.
