Infectious Disease Expert Advises Getting the COVID-19 Vaccine

Get the COVID-19 vaccine. That’s the advice from Thomas File, M.D., president of the Infectious Diseases Society of America, in a video published by Summa Health, where Dr. File is chair of the infectious disease division.

In an article published Sunday, Nov. 29, the Akron Beacon Journal wrote about Dr. File’s recommendations, along with information about the three vaccines now in the works.

Dr. File, a professor of internal medicine at Northeast Ohio Medical University, said he plans to get the vaccine when it becomes available.
